According to Muriel Hall (nee Burrows) Harriet had a grocery and sweet shop in Lichfield Street, Willenhall. She made her own pork pies, for which she was well known, and her own ice-cream. Muriel used to go to the shop every Friday to collect her mother's (Gladwys Burrows) grocery. The shop later moved to Fisher Street in Willenhall. Harriet eventually lost her sight.
